Future Sonics Atrio Review
Packaging:
The Future Sonics Atrio M5’s packaging isn’t very extravagant. It comes firmly packaged in a plastic container inside an Atrio M5 box, with a nice little vinyl zipper case, extra tips, and a cleaning tool.
Sound/Fit
The Atrio M5 fits very nicely and was most comfortable with the foam tips that come with the box. The foam tips also gave the best isolation.
The M5’s have a very clean sound to them, a bit more on the analytical side. They are very detailed, a bit thin in the mid/bass region but still sound very good. The mids are a bit laid back and give an airy sound to them but they don’t have a very expansive soundstage. The highs are very detailed and have good extension and micro-detail.
The bass is there but doesn’t have the impact that you would get out of the IE-8’s but the detail is slightly better than the IE-8’s. You can pick out different bass notes that on the IE-8’s would just sound smeared together.
Conclusion:
The Atrio M5’s are a very detailed IEM; they have a very analytical sound to them. I would definitely recommend them for someone who is looking for an IEM that is going to give them every detail of the music they are listening to, which these do very well for their price point.
