Beware of Counterfeits

It only takes a quick Google search to find counterfeit products, these are always posted with prices so low that you'd be crazy to turn them down. Unfortunately, there is a catch- those bright yellow headphones, the ones that are not even sold in bright yellow, the ones that are $50 and are originally $400, those headphones…. they're not even one-millionth of the quality of the authentic pair. Common sense says: "well, they look the same." Maybe so; however, the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park looked like real dinosaurs, but they were replicas, or counterfeit dinosaurs.

These people are true innovators, who dedicated their life to making sure that every note sounded as perfect as possible. Thanks to them, our music is able to give goose bumps, make our heart skirt a beat, and inspire us to accomplish anything and everything. When it comes to the pirates who produce counterfeit goods, they are motivated purely by profits. Surely every brand is in business to be profitable; however, the difference is that the counterfeiters can careless about sound quality and patents, their only concern is to syphon as much money from a legitimate brand as possible. Counterfeiters do not care about putting their life's work into a pair of headphones, because when the manufacture switches up the design, the counterfeiters will go on to make something else like bootleg purses. The counterfeiters' only motive is to make as much money as possible, so forget about Joseph Grado's nephew personally testing your headphones to make sure that they live up to the Grado family name. This represents the most fundamental difference between Authentic and Counterfeit products: the motives behind each pair that is sold, Passion vs. Illegal Profit.

 

Another HUGE Difference

Quality. At Sound Earphones, we sell all of our products at the floor of what the manufacture lists. Just like with a car, the manufacture tells us the lowest and highest prices we're able to sell a product. If we don't listen to them and sell the item cheaper, we're in big trouble. The reason why is simple, the technology that goes into our products is of the highest quality. It's hard to believe a living heir of an Audio Brand would risk their family name to save a few bucks on woofers. 

The truth is, the components are high quality, which is why they cost way more than the ones you'll find at a gas station. Not just that, but they are constructed from materials that not only have been vigorously tested, but also are of the highest quality. From impact resistant plastics, to delicately sanded wood, and even hand braided cables - our manufactures invest a lot of time building their products. It can't be a big surprise that when it comes to counterfeit products, the pirates will use whatever the cheapest material is they can get their hands onto. They are not built to last, only to pass a quick visual inspection by the consumer. Once you purchase them, forget about any type of warranty or support, no place that sells them is going to accept a return; after all, the penalty for selling counterfeit goods is worse than selling stolen goods. Either way you cut it, people who sell counterfeit products are criminals. Who in their right mind would expect some type of warranty on a stolen car? Counterfeits are the same, once you buy the item, it's your problem, and problems are indeed abound.
